Ausrock App User Guide


Getting Access

This app is private — you need to be invited by an administrator before you can log in. If you don’t have access, contact your site manager or supervisor.

Logging In

Once invited, you’ll receive an email with a link to set up your account. Open the link, create a password, and you’re in. Next time, just open the app and sign in with your email and password.

Trouble Logging In?

If you can’t log in or your account seems blocked, contact your site administrator. They can approve your access or reset your account.

Logging Out

Tap your name in ‘My Profile’ from the sidebar menu, then tap ‘Sign Out’ at the bottom of the page.Getting Around the App

Sidebar Menu (Desktop / Tablet)

On larger screens, you’ll see a menu on the left side of the screen. Tap any item — Dashboard, Pre-Start Inspections, Hazard Reports, etc. — to navigate to that section. The current page is highlighted in orange.

Bottom Tabs (Mobile)

On your phone, the most common sections appear as tabs at the bottom of the screen: Dashboard, Pre-Start, Inspection (Field Mode), and Hazards. Tap them to switch quickly.

Hamburger Menu (Mobile)

Tap the ☰ menu icon at the top-left on mobile to open the full sidebar and access all sections of the app.

Back Button

On sub-pages (like viewing an individual record), a ‘Back’ button appears at the top-left. Tap it to return to the previous screen.

  • MSDS Library — access Safety Data Sheets for chemicals on site

  • Incident Reports — record workplace incidents
  • Safety Documents — access policies, procedures, and plans
  • Registers — first aid, fire extinguishers, PPE, lifting gear, and more

Syncing & Offline Use

Works Without Internet

This app is designed for use on site, even in areas with poor or no mobile signal. You can complete pre-starts, inspections, and hazard reports while offline — they’ll be saved on your device.

The Offline Banner

When you’re not connected to the internet, a banner appears at the top of your screen saying you’re offline. Any records you submit will be queued and saved locally.

Automatic Sync

As soon as your device reconnects to the internet, the app automatically uploads all your saved records to the cloud. You’ll see a sync progress message while this happens.

Don’t Close the App During Sync

Once you’re back in range, keep the app open for a moment to allow pending records to sync. The banner will disappear once everything is uploaded.Finding Information

Search Bars

Most list pages (Equipment, MSDS Library, Risk Assessments, Registers) have a search bar at the top. Type a keyword, equipment name, or product name to filter the list instantly.

Filters & Sorting

Some pages include filter dropdowns to narrow results by status, type, or date. Look for filter icons or dropdown menus near the top of the list.

QR Code Scanner

Use the QR Scanner in the sidebar to scan a machine’s QR code. This takes you straight to that equipment’s profile — including its maintenance history, last pre-start, and service status.

Emergency Plan

The Emergency Plan page is always accessible from the sidebar. It contains quick-reference guides for Fire, Medical, Hazardous Spill, Entrapment, and more — including emergency contact numbers and assembly points.

MSDS Library

Search for any chemical or product used on site in the MSDS Library. You can view or download the Safety Data Sheet directly from the app.

Dashboard Shortcuts

The Dashboard shows alerts, recent activity, and quick-action buttons. Tap any card or alert to jump directly to the relevant record.Using the App on Mobile

Install as an App (PWA)

For the best mobile experience, add this app to your home screen. On iPhone: tap the Share button in Safari, then ‘Add to Home Screen’. On Android: tap the browser menu (⋮) and select ‘Add to Home Screen’ or ‘Install App’.

Field Inspection Mode

The ‘Field Inspection (Mobile)’ section is designed specifically for use on phones during site walkarounds. It uses a simplified layout that’s easy to tap through, even with gloves on.

Taking Photos

When completing inspections or hazard reports, you can attach photos directly from your phone camera. Tap the camera/photo icon within the form to capture evidence on the spot.

Notifications

You can enable push notifications for emergency alerts. From the Emergency Plan page, tap the ‘Alerts’ button at the top-right to configure which notifications you receive.
